The department of Electronics has grown up tremendously over the last few years. The ECE Deptt is running B Tech and M Tech courses. New laboratories are being added up every year to improve our capacity and capabilities to carry out new projects and experiments.
Applied Research is our prime focus. Development and growth of faculty is given special attention. Faculty is encouraged and sponsored for higher studies and sent for participation in seminar. Faculty is also engaged in organizing AICTE sponsored Staff Development Programme at JIET UNIVERSE. The turnover of Faculty is minimal and majority of them are with masters degrees. The training and project work by the students are the major thrust areas. Concerted effort is made to find out the suitable industry for the purpose of training. Students are encouraged to take up project with greater applications in the field. The focus has been to synergize the project work and the industrial training. The students are taken on industrial visits to various industries. The department has fully equipped laboratories with the state of the art equipment.

EC Engineering (Electronics & Communication Engineering), is a merger of two basic branches viz., Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is one of the largest and fastest growing sector of industry. It covers a wide range of applications we daily require and which make our lives easier and enjoyable such as Television, Radio, Computers, Telecommunication, Mobiles, etc. They help us to see, hear and communicate over vast distances, supervise production and manufacturing processes and oversee installation and maintenance of computers, peripherals and components. Electronics engineers work with devices that use extremely small amounts of power. They work with microprocessors, fiber optics, Solar System and in telecommunication, television, radio etc. Electronics engineering is a constantly changing and widening branch of the engineering profession. The project that solves the problem regarding the leakage of examination papers. It consists of one lock time strategy, GPS lock and biometric security like facial recognition and finger print. It will be protected by one time password.
The team proposes to develop a user-friendly Micro Bot using both Embedded and IoT Technologies. This Microbot has ability to express its emotions. The Bot also has ability to access personal information and store it in memory. This information may be asked anytime, whenever it is required. The Bot will inform the user about his daily schedule, weather condition, traffic status and result of algebraic calculations. These data can be acquired from cloud databases. A virtual machine will be used to fed data into it, which can be stored at local memory or on cloud.
Internet of Things (IOT) Technology has brought revolution to each field of common person’s life by making everything smart and intelligent. The objective of this project is to propose IOT based Smart Agriculture System assisting farmers in getting live data of temperature, soil moisture, water level, weather conditions, for efficient environment and crop monitoring which will enable them to increase their yield and also reduces their loss of crop due to natural calamities like heavy rain, attack of locust, etc.
Exploiting the capabilities of microcontroller and machine learning the proposed system allows the user to monitor the energy consumption of a device and the device will shut down if the daily quota of the device gets exceeded.
Based on the machine learning, artificial intelligence and Image Processing the proposed work automates the parking system. It employs LDR sensors, servo motors IR sensors.
