AIMS OF NCC :

  • To Create a Human Resource of Organized, Trained, and Motivated Youth, To Provide Leadership in all Walks of life, and be Always Available for the Service of the Nation.

  • To Provide a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Forces.

  • To Develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and Ideals of Selfless Service among the Youth of the Country.

MOTTO :

The motto of NCC is “Unity and Discipline. “ ‘Unity’ implies our basic oneness, the brotherhood of all the Indian people regardless of their caste, color, or creed. Likewise, ‘Discipline’ is the very bedrock on which any nation is founded.

National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization that recruits cadets from colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on their achievements in the corps.

NCC at JIET UNIVERSE

NCC was started in our college to groom the students as worthy citizens and future leaders of our Nation. Our JU Coy is attached to Army Wing (6 RAJ BATTALION NCC and 3 RAJ GIRLS BATTALION NCC Jodhpur. It is functioning with 80 cadet strength(boys and girls ) in 6 Raj BN and 56 cadet strength(only girls) in 3 Raj Girls BN with two ANO.

The JU NCC Company (Senior Division and Senior Wing) under the control of 6 RAJ BATTALION NCC, JODHPUR – A GROUP was started in 2020. The second-year students are enrolled for a duration of three years. The first batch of SWs under 3 RAJ GIRLS BATTALION NCC was started in 2009.

A cadet, after one year of training, is eligible for a `B' certificate examination provided he has at least 75 percent attendance and has attended at least one NCC camp. For the `C' certificate examination, the Cadet must have

  1. passed the `B' certificate,

  2. a total training of two years with a minimum of 75 percent attendance, and

  3. attended two NCC camps. Graduates with a `C' certificate are eligible for direct selection in courses at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

With a sense of nationalism and secularism outlook, the JU NCC Company is always carrying out activities with a distinct emphasis on social services, discipline, and adventure training. Periodically, some of the Cadets are selected to undergo adventurous and rigorous military training in attachment with regular Army training Centres, rock climbing, Mountaineering Camps, Trekking Camps, Army Attachment Camps, National Integration Camps, etc. The Cadet regularly takes part in Inter-Collegiate NCC competitions. The JU NCC Company also organizes social service events like Anti – Drug Rally, Blood Donation Camp, Anti–Plastic Rally, visiting orphanages and old age homes, and creating awareness among the public regarding Consumer Awareness, Cancer & AIDS awareness, etc. The Cadets are encouraged to complete the "B" and "C" certificate examinations and also encouraged to take up a career in the Armed forces like Army, Navy, and Air Force. NCC EXAMINATION

 ‘B’ Certificate Examination:

  1. The Cadet must be in the second year of SD/SW NCC Training.

  2. Must have attended one Annual Training Camp/NIC/Attachment training with regular Army, Navy, and Air Force Units.

  3. Cadets possessing an ‘A’ Certificate will be awarded ten bonus marks.

  4. The Cadet must have attended a minimum of 75% of the total training period laid down in the syllabus for the first and second years of Senior Division Wing NCC (All Wings). Break in the NCC service of the Cadet prior to appearing in the exam should not exceed more than 18 months at one time after his discharge to count his service for Certificate ‘B’ Examination. In case the break exceeds 18 months, the following procedure will be adopted.

  5. “If he had been on the unit rolls for a minimum of two years before his discharge and had attended 75% of the total periods during his NCC service he will need another 45 periods of training to become eligible for certificate ‘B’ Examination. In all other cases where above conditions are not fulfilled, the Cadet must attend a minimum 75% periods of the first and second years of training.”

‘C’ Certificate Examination:

1. Cadet must have passed the ‘B’ certificate.

2. The Cadet must be in the second/third year of SD/SW NCC Training

3. The Cadet must have attended a minimum of 75% of the periods of the 3rd year syllabus during the academic session.

4. Break in the NCC Service of the SD/SW Cadet prior to appearing in the exam should not exceed more than 18 months at one time after his discharge to count his previous service for Certificate ‘C’ examination. In case the break exceeds 18 months, the following procedure will be adopted

5. “If he had been on the Unit rolls for a minimum of two years before his discharge and had attended 75% of the total period during his NCC service, he will need another 45 periods of training to become eligible for Certificate ‘C’ examination. In all other cases where the above conditions are not fulfilled, the Cadet must attend a minimum of 75% periods of the first and second year of training.”
